How to Change the Cover Art of a Song Windows 10
How-do-you-do - album art problems are less common in W10 with the simplified library organization... using FAI should not cause too many issues either (whereas 'Update anthology info might!) - Somewhere along the way some wires have got crossed by the sound of it.
Can yous merely give me a quick rundown on your library construction in 'explorer'- is it the usual Music - Artist - Anthology - Track line? - Besides is the incorrect fine art appearing in both Media role player and the explorer files? - Thanks, R.

i) Yep and No, usual structure, ie: D:\Music\..Creative person...\... Anthology... is correct, but in the instance of the B-52'due south, the anthology is NOT there. Strangely I own the CD and did rip it to this computer!?!
2) Aye, in the instance of the B-52's, the anthology cover is NOT correct anymore, it has been "squished" when I tried to update another album, which was updated correctly.
So...
one) I added the missing "Album" file structure level to the B52's.
2) I modified the "Album" field in the Backdrop of each song.
3) I fetched the Anthology information from "FAI".
This fixed the album fine, only inverse other albums that have a valid file structure and had the correct anthology in the "Album" field of the track. I looked at the timestamp on the prototype files that accept been wrongly updated and they match the B52'southward updated timestamp. So evidently there is a propagation going on that should not! Also, the timestamp (modified, created) DO Not appear when in "Detail View" of file explorer - I must context-click the JPG and look at backdrop to meet a engagement! Probably because it is a "strange" user that has copied the files around...
The albums that had a valid Album art, that have been changed, Practise Non exist on "FAI" or the song names come in Spanish.... I am currently on vacation in Costa rica from Canada!
Still, this does not explicate why an album cover is propagated to other folders...

There'south a number of possibilities. It may exist best to expect until you are home to sort this out. We can work through methodically.
I thing yous may want to check is to go to 'view' in explorer - select options - view tab... Dot the circle for showing hidden files and uncheck four boxes down 'hide system files' - this pops up a warning which tin be OK'd. Click apply - OK at pes of box... When you have finished go dorsum to the view tab (make sure information technology is the view tab!) and click 'Restore Defaults'. (OK)
With hidden /organisation files showing go through the explorer music folders and see if at that place are copies of the wrong artwork in those affected. If so it can be safely deleted if y'all wish... we'll sort everything else out when you lot're abode.

I have Win 10 pro and I am displaying all file types etc - Thanks.
In the "Privacy" tab of the "Options" - I unchecked the "Automatically check if protected files need to be refreshed"....
Meanwhile - as long every bit the songs are in that location - even if harder to discover considering of the fake visual cue - I volition wait for a fix... ;-)

There are many different means of sorting in WMP (which is a rather well-kept secret!) simply for your needs simply switching to
'Details' view (in the little dropdown by the search bar) might exist the simplest option until things are put right. That can be applied in 'Artist - Anthology and All Music' views and for now an alphabetical list may be somewhat easier to work
from than misleading album art!

Still, my location should non influence the propagation of wrong anthology art to albums I am non trying to update! Looks similar MPlayer is trying to set things that are non broken!

It can be quite a fourth dimension consuming process putting information technology right - that's why it may be better to wait until you are back home and we tin figure information technology out step by footstep. Relax and enjoy Costa rica!

Thanks for your concerns simply I am here for another ii months, so off for 3 months in Ecuador then I am off to Europe for most of the summer. So while here in Costa Rica, I take plenty of time for this is not holiday but my retirement!
So how near we start the process now!?!

Ah OK - a friend of mine is doing a similar routine - lives in Crete, hops off to Spain and Italy between trips to Republic of guatemala where he is involved with an educational charity - he even manages to come back to the Uk every so oft!
OK - first matter I'd like is to cheque your WMP organize - options settings to minimize potential unwanted interference... main ones are Library and Privacy tabs but I continue the settings in the role player tab pretty minimal too (but checked for updates weekly and autohide controls)
Delight fix the library/privacy tabs like to this (particularly unchecking anything marked red!)
